How is intellectual property managed and how are EU interests protected?

EIC Accelerator operations are exempt from Horizon Europe IP obligations except where no investment component is awarded, no investment agreement is concluded, or the operation is terminated during the grant. Within national law the investee and co-investors are given maximum autonomy over IP to support deployment and exits, but where Union interests are at stake and the EIC acquires a blocking minority the EIC Fund will seek to secure European ownership of IP and the company; the same principle applies on exit.
