Open calls and partner recruitment

The EIC is actively recruiting partners under a number of calls. The calls include the EIC Corporate Partnership Programme call for corporates the EIC Innovation Procurement Programme call for public and private buyers and the EIC Ecosystem Partnership Programme call for accelerators incubators research and training organisations. A call for experts and mentors to support early stage ventures is expected to reopen in Q3 2025. Investors can also explore co-investment opportunities with the EIC Fund.

Context and critical perspective

The digest and the BAS offer practical value for users who need a single feed of open calls and partner opportunities. At the same time the announcement is part promotion and part operational guidance. Reported impact figures are useful but largely self reported by the EIC and presented without detailed methodology. Some metrics are aggregated since 2021 while others are restricted to activity since 2024 which complicates direct comparison.

Why verify metrics:Numbers such as funds raised deals and meetings are headline friendly but depend on definitions such as what counts as a deal or raised capital. Prospective users should ask for breakdowns by programme timeframe and independent verification when planning resource allocation.
Time limited offers:ACCESS+ cofunding and some specific open calls have explicit deadlines or stated end dates. Organisations should note the 31 May 2026 reference for ACCESS+ and check each call for up to date timelines.

Finally the EIC operates within an EU funding ecosystem that combines European Commission policy objectives with agency level delivery. That means services can be valuable but also bureaucratically conditional. Applicants should factor in eligibility rules reporting requirements and the administrative burden associated with public programmes.

Practical next steps for innovators

If you are an EIC awardee applicant or an innovation support organisation consider these immediate actions.

1. Sign up:Create or use your EU Login and join the EIC Community Platform then subscribe to the BAS open calls digest and relevant newsletters.
2. Use the Service Catalogue:Search the EIC Service Catalogue for offers that match your technical needs and business stage. Filter by category and check partner profiles.
3. Check ACCESS+ eligibility:If you need cofunding to access partner services review ACCESS+ conditions and timelines and prepare supporting documentation early.
4. Validate claims and timelines:For any opportunity verify eligibility application deadlines selection criteria and reporting obligations directly on the EIC Community Platform and through the call documentation.
