What is the Fast Track scheme for the EIC Accelerator and who is eligible in 2026?

Answer
The Fast Track scheme allows projects from existing Horizon Europe or Horizon 2020 projects to be reviewed by a responsible granting authority or national funding body (using award criteria equivalent to the EIC short stage and an independent review within the previous two years). If the review finds the proposal meets excellence and impact, has no duplication of funding, and the applicant is eligible, the outcome can be submitted to the EIC Accelerator; applicants invited then prepare a full proposal and receive coaching. In 2026 eligible sources include EIC Pathfinder and EIC Transition projects managed by the Agency; relevant KIC schemes; Eurostars-2 and the Partnership on Innovative SMEs; companies awarded only under the H2020 EIC pilot Accelerator and the Horizon Europe EIC Accelerator managed by the Agency; EIC Pre-Accelerator grantees; and Women Tech.EU grantees.
