EIC Business Acceleration Services issues updated offer and beneficiary info sheets

On 5 June 2024 the European Innovation Council's Business Acceleration Services released an updated suite of profile-specific information sheets for beneficiaries. The new materials are organised by beneficiary type including EIC Pathfinder, Transition, Accelerator, Women TechEU and Seal of Excellence. The documentation is intended to give innovators a clear view of the services available across the EIC ecosystem and how to access them.

What was published and who it targets

The update is a practical packaging of the EIC BAS offer into downloadable info sheets. Each sheet targets a particular beneficiary profile and points to relevant programmes and open calls. The EIC emphasises services that span early proposal stage support through later market expansion activities. The materials are presented as guidance and carry a standard disclaimer that they do not represent the official view of the European Commission.

Available info sheets include documents tailored for Accelerator beneficiaries, Pathfinder and Transition beneficiaries, and for holders of the Seal of Excellence and Women TechEU awardees. They are available on the EIC Community platform and can be used to identify eligible services and upcoming calls.

Key elements of the updated BAS offer

EIC Coaching Programme:Free coaching targeted at different beneficiary groups. Coaches are independent experts with entrepreneurial or investment backgrounds. Eligible awardees may receive up to three days of coaching delivered from a pool of over 600 coaches. The service is organised through a matching process on the coaching platform and includes confidentiality arrangements and a Code of Conduct for coaches.
EIC Community Platform and Programme:A members only one-stop portal where EIC awardees can find news, calls, events, projects, resources and the EIC Service Catalogue. The Community hosts peer learning including Winter and Summer Schools, Community Talks and Welcome and Coordinators Days. Access requires EU Login and registration on the platform.
EIC Corporate Partnership Programme:Designed to create structured engagements between large corporates and EIC-backed scaleups. Between 2017 and 2025 the programme organised 91 Corporate Days and Multi-Corporate Days, enabled 2,493 one-to-one meetings and reported over 100 business deals. Corporates must meet size and reach criteria, and typically sign a declaration of intent to participate.
EIC Ecosystem Partnership Programme and Service Catalogue:This stream forges partnerships with accelerators, incubators, research organisations and other specialised providers. The EIC Service Catalogue lists partner services such as access to labs, due diligence, relocation support and niche coaching. EIC ACCESS+ can co-fund up to 50 percent of catalogue service costs, with support available up to a threshold of 60,000 euros in eligible cases.
EIC Tech to Market Programme (T2M):Aimed at helping Pathfinder and Transition projects move from lab to market using entrepreneurship training, venture building and entrepreneurs in residence. The T2M programme was paused at the time of the public notes and expected to resume activities in 2026. Some activities and calls for experts were indicated as currently closed.
EIC Global Business Expansion and Soft-landing Programmes:These initiatives support internationalisation and market exploration. They include immersive soft-landing missions, market discovery activities and targeted visits to ecosystems such as Silicon Valley, Boston, Singapore, and Texas. Selection criteria typically ask for a concrete market entry plan, commitment of resources and fit with market needs.
EIC Women Leadership Programme:Cohort-based training and mentoring for women researchers and entrepreneurs. The programme combines virtual sessions, in-person training and coaching. It sits alongside Women TechEU and the European Prize for Women Innovators as part of the EIC's efforts to reduce gender gaps in innovation leadership. Public figures in the materials note that 30 percent of Accelerator companies supported in 2024 were women led and that around 19 percent of the overall portfolio are women led, figures that merit verification over time.
EIC Scaling Club:A curated community of about 120 deep tech scaleups and more than 400 ecosystem partners including investors and corporates. Services include peer networking, investor events and roadshows. The programme materials claim accelerated growth up to 40 percent for participating companies. Those are programme claims and would benefit from third party evaluation.
EIC Innovation Procurement Programme and SPIN4EIC:A set of actions to connect EIC innovators with public and private procurers. SPIN4EIC supports buyer capacity building, pitching sessions, training academies and a buyer community. Two projects under this umbrella are InnoBuyer and InnoMatch. InnoBuyer pilots a demand driven methodology and InnoMatch funds proof of concept and pilot tests of EIC solutions with buyers using a call structure that can fund pilots up to 60,000 euros each.
EIC International Trade Fairs Programme 3.0:Supports EIC beneficiaries to exhibit at major trade fairs in the EU, MENA and the USA. Sector coverage includes biotech, clean tech, health, and new industrial technologies. Services include coaching, pre-departure briefings, cultural and IP training, B2B matchmaking and follow-up support. Selected fairs cited include CES, MWC, BIO International Convention and GITEX events.

How beneficiaries can access services

The published info sheets and the EIC Community platform are the main entry points. Typical access routes are open calls published on the Community platform, direct application to calls for expression of interest for pools of experts or partners, and targeted invitations for selected pilots or missions. EU Login credentials are required to register on the platform. The EIC also promotes subscriptions to an EIC BAS newsletter and an Open Calls digest to remain updated.

What to watch for and a reality check

The updated info sheets represent a useful consolidation of a large and fragmented offer. They make eligibility and programme scope easier to navigate. At the same time several broader points deserve attention. First, the EIC relies heavily on third party implementing partners and on open calls. That is normal for scale but it increases variation in delivery quality. Second, many claims about outcomes such as accelerated growth or deal counts are self reported or internal. Independent evaluation and follow up data over longer time frames are not always public. Third, demand for services is high and capacity constraints remain a practical barrier, especially for tailored offers and in-person international missions.

Beneficiaries should treat the info sheets as a starting point. They will need to check specific call guidelines, application windows and eligibility details on the EIC Community platform. Companies should also evaluate the expected time commitment, any required co-funding and the level of follow-on support after pilots or matchmaking events.

Practical next steps for EIC awardees

Step 1 - Register and subscribe:Sign in with EU Login to the EIC Community platform and subscribe to the BAS newsletter and Open Calls digest to receive timely alerts.
Step 2 - Download and read your info sheet:Download the sheet specific to your beneficiary profile and map the named services to your current stage and priorities.
Step 3 - Check eligibility and apply:Follow the call guidelines for each programme. For costly services check ACCESS+ co-funding calls and the Service Catalogue for partner offerings.

Where to find the materials and contact points

All info sheets and programme pages are hosted on the EIC Community platform and the EIC web pages. The published materials include contact or helpdesk information for each programme. The general EIC Community contact page is the starting point for queries about platform registration and specific programme helpdesks.

Disclaimer: The materials are presented as knowledge sharing. They are not a formal statement of Commission policy and beneficiaries should always consult the specific call documents and legal terms when applying.
